Directors Statement

Chayale Akselrod is an introspective and inquisitive writer/director. A first generation American, she is a keenly interested in the lived experience of outsiders, and the dichotomy between culture and personality.
Highly influenced by literature, classical art, diary keeping, and Soviet era films from her parents’ generation; she is currently concentrating on a multimedia approach to her filmmaking.
