Chayale Akselrod is a New York based production designer and costume designer working across narrative feature and short films, music videos, and commercial projects. Her work is rooted in research, fitting texture, and meticulous detailing. She is dedicated to creating worlds with tangible sense of belonging.

With a background in both film production and fine arts, Chayale brings both a creative and practical approach to the work.

She is experienced in building visual worlds from the ground up— from conceptual designs, breaking budgets, assembling talented art crew, to fabrication, set dressing, and on set delegating, she has led many art teams to greatness.

Resourceful and collaborative, she enjoys working within real world constraints, and discovering inventive solutions.
